Theophilus London x Karl Lagerfeld for Vibes!

The handprints of Karl Lagerfeld are all over the 2014 album Vibes! from Trinidadian-born rapper/singer Theophilus London. Almost literally. The German fashion designer, artist, and photographer art directed the album's design, did all the photography, and was even responsible for the hand-lettering seen on the cover. He also did the cover for the album's only single, "Tribe."

Largerfeld is the head designer and creative director of the fashion house Chanel as well as the Italian house Fendi, all while finding time to run his own fashion label. And Theo is super stylish—in fact, Lagerfeld had already shot him previously for his 2012 book with Carine Roitfeld, "The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited."

It's a great collaboration between two artists with a keen eye for design, and the simple, classy album art is some of my favorite from that year.
